It was storming outside. The rain was crashing down heavy and hard. She could hear the sound of the rain on the roof striking so hard it sounded almost like it was hailing outside. Webolie (pronounced web-ole-ee) couldn’t remember the last time that it rained so hard. She literally, couldn’t remember. This was odd to her as she usually had a good memory. She surmised the irony of the situation because the rain seemed to coincide with what seemed to be a strange time in her life – almost as if nature was conspiring to add pathetic fallacy to her life. Even though this seemed to be, Webolie knew that this was not the case.

Haleinda (pronounced ha-lee-un-day) was lying under shelter as she watched the rain pouring to the ground. It was as if the rain hadn’t seen the Earth in a really long time and it was trying to do all of its catching up at once. It was quite extraordinary, she thought, to see this wonderful display of awesome power, because the rain really was powerful. The rain could knock down trees. She knew that there was to be lots of rain this afternoon, and this made her wonder about how she could do something totally radical. She thought long and hard about what she could do to make today drastically different from any other day she had been in for quite some time. After much thought and deliberation it came to her – mud.

The sky looked as if it was full and nearly ready to burst. Yeonin (pronounced yee-oh-neen) seemed almost oblivious to what was happening. He just continued on walking. He didn’t have any particular destination in mind, just to walk. At times, he felt like he had been everywhere and done everything, but he knew that this was not true. However, maybe on some level it was. He always thought that he went places when he was dreaming, but he was never sure and he didn’t know how he was ever going to figure it out, if he actually was going places while he was sleeping.

The light show was amazing to see. The rain was coming down very heavily as it usually did in a storm. It was no matter because all Rilowen (pronounced rell-oh-ween) could look at was the sky. The amazing sky that was displaying all kinds of beautiful fractals of light. The lightning was something that she had rarely been able to witness, as it wasn’t a common thing where she lived. She knew why lightning occurred and that’s why she understood that it wasn’t a common thing to see. Nonetheless, she still admired it when she had the opportunity to witness such natural feats.
