(This Imagining is a continuation of the imagining started on May 30th, 2010, and can be found here: Unique Snow Falls on the Mountain)

Vaskal, still on his side and looking at the various snow crystals, wondered what these new discoveries really meant to him. He had always considered knowledge to be an important part of his time here in this life, but he never had really considered knowledge acquisition to be part of his trips up the mountain. Now that he was where he was, he was trying to figure out what other kinds of knowledge he had acquired on his times coming up the mountain. Had he gained other knowledge in coming up the mountain? How would he figure it out? What other kind of knowledge could he have gained? Weren’t these trips just for the joy of it?

Yomi (pronounced yo-mee) was sitting on the back steps. He lowered his hand down to the cedar and gently grazed it over the soft wood. He smiled as he remembered when he first conceived of the idea to build such a magnificent place. He was young and he would often sit in silence thinking. In these instances of silent thinking, many ideas would come to him. Yomi would be bombarded with thoughts from all over the place. He usually wondered where they came from until he stumbled upon an idea that he thought was sheer brilliance. When this happened, he would engage in some sort of physical movement so as to commit the idea to long-term memory.

Casually she walked along. She had no particular destination – just walking. Villom (pronounced vill-uhm) enjoyed walking with no place to go. She loved to let the snow crunch beneath her feet. The sound it made always made her giggle just a little. With each step she took, the sound would repeat itself and in kind, so would the giggling. The giggling would gradually escalate until with each step she took, she was full-on laughing out loud. To anyone else, there was nothing funny. To Villom, everything was funny. And why not, right? Why not laugh for the sake of laughing?
