And it is through this living that one reaches quality. Living life, as Chinwin puts it, was the only way to attain a sense of quality. One could not have quality by subverting one’s desires and wishes. One had to do quite the opposite. One had to be, live, think, do, feel, and act the way one wanted to… this was how one was able to reach this sense that quality is life.

Continuing on down the path, she gazed up. In her view, she could see the colo[u]rful leaves as they dotted the tops of the trees. She could see the blue of the sky and the white of the clouds. She closed her eyes and felt the warmth of the rays on her face. Today was a glorious day.

When Shnobi (pronounced shhno-bee) was a young girl, her great-grandparents would always tell her about the wiles of the mosquito. They would describe the body of the insect in great detail and go into a fantastical tale about just how important mosquitoes were to the health of the ecosystems they thrived in. Moreover, her great-grandmother used to talk about the healing power of mosquitoes. Shnobi was not disillusioned by the same sorts of messages that had been spread long before her time. In fact, Shnobi was fortunate to have great-grandparents that let her explore the boundlessness of her own mind.

He was staring up at the sky on a clear night. The sky was filled with stars and the moon, but that was not what was drawing Tinean’s (pronounced tin-ee-uhn) attention on this particular night. Instead, he was more preoccupied with a particular task that he had set out to do on this night. It was something that he had always done at least once a week, especially at night. He found that it was easier for him to imagine it during the night. Being outside was so clear and the space was empty, while being inside precipitated a feeling of being cramped. When night fell and took over from the bright sun, it made the sky seem like it went on forever.
