Brindea (pronounced brin-dee-uh) found himself walking along a path. He was on his usual path, one that he walked every morning. Upon waking up, he felt compelled to connect, physically, with the natural world around him, and the best way that he saw fit to do that was to literally connect with the natural world around him by walking around and within the natural world around him. Yes, the natural world was something that was very near and dear to the heart of Brindea. It was something that he felt was important to let know that he felt very deeply about it. Responding in kind, the natural world seemed to feel very deeply about Brindea, too.

He dug his hand deep down into the sand and raked towards himself a huge pile. With his other hand, he scooped some water out and poured some of it onto the pile of sand. The sand, now on the way to a consistency of mud, but not quite there, was easier to mold. Canite (pronounced cah-nee-tay) pulled some more sand into the pile and again, poured some water onto the pile. It was nearly enough sand to begin building what he always built when he came to the beach – peace.

Looking up at the size of this great entity was breathtaking. From where he stood, he could not see the top of its glorious-ness. All he knew was that it went up and up and up! The rigid peaks stretching up to the sky covered in all sorts of vegetation colo[u]red green. He had never seen anything so beautiful. His ideas about mountains always contained images of rocks, steep valleys, and maybe some snow on top. He had never imagined there were mountains that were covered in plants and greens. As he reflected on it, of course there would be mountains like this. Mountains that occur closer to the equator wouldn’t be likely to have snowy seasons, but rain that would last for days and days – ergo, vegetation.

Kazulia (pronounced ka-zool-yah) opened the drawer where she kept most of her jewelry (or jewellery) and began looking through what she had. She always liked to don some sort of fashionable accessory before she left the place where she lived. The kinds of jewelry that she had and that most people she knew had was the kind of jewelry that you made on your own. That is to say, no one ‘purchased’ jewelry from a store – they made it themselves. It was much more appropriate in Kazulia’s time for people to spend some time each month creating something wonderful to accessorize with. As she continued to look at what she had, she was realizing that nothing really caught her eye, so she knew that it must be time to head down to the beach.

Dalina (pronounced duh-lee-nuh) was amazed at the size of it. She had been hiking towards it for what must have been 3 or 4 hours and with each step, the size of the mountain grew in size. However, in this little-by-little pace of hers, she hadn’t really realized how large it had gotten. She only knew that it was getting larger because of they way her vision perceived such an enormous feat of nature like a mountain.
