He dug his hand deep down into the sand and raked towards himself a huge pile.With his other hand, he scooped some water out and poured some of it onto the pile of sand. The sand, now on the way to a consistency of mud, but not quite there, was easier to mold. Canite (pronounced cah-nee-tay) pulled some more sand into the pile and again, poured some water onto the pile. It was nearly enough sand to begin building what he always built when he came to the beach – peace.

As I walk along the shore I can feel the sand cascading between my toes. The sand feels warm from the sun that has been baking it for the better part of the morning and afternoon. Gently placing one foot in front of the next, my ears are met with the sound of waves cresting.

Cinidia (pronounced see-nee-dee-uh) sat on the heel of the shore as the surf rolled in up to his toes. His eyes looking out over the horizon and seeing nothing but ocean. It was a magnificent sight for him – ocean as far as the eye could see. There was something about the waves for Cinidia that was so calming. It never really dawned on him just what it was, but that wasn’t important. To him, being with the water, the ocean, and the waves, that was what was important to him. Especially the waves…

Tocano (pronounced toe-cah-noh) was sitting cross-legged near the shore. For some reason, he always found that he was able to do his best thinking here. Maybe it was the sand, maybe it was the ocean, maybe it was the waves. He didn’t really need to know what aspect of this spot allowed him to come to such brilliant conclusions. Maybe it was the whole of the area combined. That is to say, maybe it was the waves and the sand and the ocean all put-together. Regardless, he liked it here, so he kept coming back.

Dawine (pronounced daw-ween) enjoyed adventures. No, he loved adventures. Going on adventures was one of his favo[u]rite things to do. He enjoyed the mystique and the intrigue that happened when one ventured out into the wild. He had seen all kinds of things going on these adventures. He had seen great waterfalls, he had seen expansive open fields, he had seen countless beautiful forest, he had seen the wondrousness of the variety of skies, and he had seen mountains that seemed to go on forever.
