Panlinea continued to lay on the grass and listen to the birds singing their song. Hummingbirds, robins, cardinals, blue jays, orioles, herons – they were all so beautiful to listen to! Some, sung more with what seemed an intention to sound like music, while others were just squawking to claim their territory – which was normal. She lifted her head as she awoke from her slumber and stretched her limbs to increase some of the energy flow to them as she was just about to begin using them. She got up onto her legs and began looking around – it was morning. She was surprised that she had slept all through the night. Usually, some of the sounds from the forest startle her awake at some point throughout the night, but not last night. Last night, she slept, as some might say, like a baby. It was something that he liked to do from time-to-time. Instead of looking at the background of a ‘picture,’ in this case, the sky, and seeing the objects dotting the background, he decided to look at the foreground as if it was the background and the background were really the foreground. Jincoche found that this really helped to expand his perception, especially with nature.

Mazinka (pronounced ma-zeen-kah) had never seen trees with green leaves let alone trees with leaves that changed colors. He had spent most of his life living in places where there was only desert – either sand or snow. And he loved the sand and the snow. To him, they were beautiful. As it was all he knew, he found things about them that he rather enjoyed. The sand could create wonderful dunes, which appeared as if they were mountains of the sand. The snow could be compressed into a sphere and then thrown relatively long distances. But today, Mazinka was going to get to see trees with leaves.
