He looked up at the sky as if to say, ‘thank you.’ It was how he started everyday – with gratitude. Ricando (pronounced ree-can-doh) was not quite sure when it began, but for as long as he could remember, when he would immerse from the hypnopompic state, he would directly look into the sky and give thanks. It wasn’t that he was thanking any particular person for any one thing, but just offering thanks in general. Gratitude was something that Ricando has always felt was an important part of one’s life and from his perspective, there wasn’t a better way to start the day than with thanks.

She knew this because she would always have some sort of signal in her dream that it was close. Gorine (pronounced go-reen) slowly opened her eyes to see that it was still mostly dark outside. She had woken up before dawn, but that was alright. She knew that this was the time of day she was after.

Rinvulopia (pronounced rin-va-low-pea-uh) was a firm believer in her ability. More than that, she was a firm believer in her body. She knew that her body was able to take her to places she had never been and do things she had never imagined. Because of this, she knew that she needed to respect, honor, and care for her body the same way that she cared for her mind. And because of this, she was very astute at taking signals and messages from her body.
