One of his favo[u]rite things to do was float on the water in a very inconspicuous way. Delvin (pronounced dell-vinn) would gently nudge his kayak into the water and quickly climb into it before it got too far away from him. He would pick up his paddle and begin to propel his way out into the open water. The shore was nice, but there was so much to be explored out in the open water. It was like he was a discoverer and he was going to chart new grounds on the water. Delvin was going to explore new territory that no one had ever seen. He very much liked the idea of sliding into the water and going places no one had seen. He liked being able to imagine himself being the first human to see some of the nooks and crevices that he got to see.

Immediately, he was transported to a world of wonder. He opened his eye and he could see the wispy clouds delicately poking out through the spaces between the leaves in the trees. The white and green being such a perfect complement to each other. He looked in the other direction and he saw a magnificent mountain. Because of the distance between him and it, he was able to comprehend the awesome power that it contained. It was large and not just physically. The energy coming from it could be felt even as far away that he was.

Casually she walked along. She had no particular destination – just walking. Villom (pronounced vill-uhm) enjoyed walking with no place to go. She loved to let the snow crunch beneath her feet. The sound it made always made her giggle just a little. With each step she took, the sound would repeat itself and in kind, so would the giggling. The giggling would gradually escalate until with each step she took, she was full-on laughing out loud. To anyone else, there was nothing funny. To Villom, everything was funny. And why not, right? Why not laugh for the sake of laughing?

Resting gently on the soft grass lay a girl, Sophosia (pronounced suh-foh-see-uh). Her delicate hair moving swiftly over her shoulders as she turned her head to look across the land. There was nothing around to disturb her. She was at complete peace with her surroundings. Her sparkling blue eyes seeing all that there was to see. Taking in everything – every moment – every second. The whispers of the wind speaking to her as they rustle the tops of the trees. A rather welcomed sense of ease permeated her being. This was home.

Joy, Joy, Joy. It was the only thing that he really liked to engage in – things that made him joyful. It wasn’t that he didn’t enjoy the other emotions, but when there was joy, he was a happy person. The joy that he felt could be felt for miles and miles away. His pleasant disposition oozed into the air and onto the living things around him. It was almost as if he was intentionally trying to positively infect the world around him with his passion. Little did Rondalin (pronounced ron-dahl-in) know how much this would come into play later in his life.
